ALOA represents its members, many of whom are institutional locksmiths. This is the place to respectfully discuss their policies and decisions, their certification and training, etc. when you don't feel comfortable posting it on the ALOA forum yet. No new posts Questions and Discussion on Life Safety and Fire Codes
This is the place to discuss the code issues we all face from day to day. ADA, Fire and Building Codes can be as clear as mud, and another opinion is usually really welcome. They permit the proper user to lock the outer cylinder from the inside without opening the door, by using a key or high security device in the inside. Inside is always free for exit and cannot be locked without key or special device.
